Hémicycle closed in November 2025, and the couple who ran the kitchen (Flavio Lucarini as chef and Aurora Storari as pastry chef) have now taken over at Substance, another restaurant owned by the same group.
We had rated Hémicycle as GOOD with two stars * *

We adored the cooking of chef Flavio Lucarini at Le Bistrot Flaubert and were sad to learn that he had left… until we realized he and the owner were opening a new restaurant called Hémicycle.
This new restaurant near the National Assembly is a much glitzier showcase for Lucarini’s ambitious, Italian inflected cuisine. The space boasts three floors and an open kitchen.
As was true at Le Bistrot Flaubert, the menu at Hémicycle is a hybrid: you can order a tasting menu or à la carte. I love that. I also love the prices. It’s surprisingly affordable for a place that feels so fancy, with careful service and a central location. Our six course tasting menu at dinner was 105€, but there’s a cheaper 4-course option for 85€ and a lunch menu for 49€.
I’ll certainly be recommending this for people who are looking for a real lunch (not a quick bite) before or after museum-hopping - it’s right in between Invalides, the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay.
Here’s what we enjoyed as part of the six-course tasting menu:
We’ve included Hémicycle among our 50 Favorite Restaurants in Paris. You can find other restaurants in this neighborhood in our Restaurant Index.
