We lunched at Les Collonges yesterday and were delighted. The service was charming and the food great. We were offered the chance at a table next to the open kitchen and very much enjoyed enjoyed watching the chefs work.
I was at Les Collings the other night and it was fantastic. While the restaurant filled up very quickly around 20:00, thr service was very attentive. Yes, the wine list is a bit Loire centered but there was an excellent Chablis Grand Cru to pair with my pouched Fois Gras which came from heaven and my perfectly pink scallops. The Mille-feulle for desert floated on air. I highly recommend that you try this place out. Yes it’s a little walk to the back side of Montmatre but well worth it.
We may switch some things around so we can visit when we're in town in a couple of weeks. Do you recall if they serve cocktails as well as wine? If anyone can recommend a quiet cocktail bar nearby we would be grateful!
Hi Katie! I'm not sure it's your best bet for cocktails. The drinks menu is very wine focused, with a few n/a options and some digestifs - I didn't see any cocktail offerings. There are quite a few cocktail bars on the other side of the hill, near Pigalle. My favorite is Sister Midnight but there are a lot. Here's a good resource for cocktails: https://52martinis.com/
Les Collonges sound and looks amazing, Meg! Your reviews are always spot on, and to have Margaux at Juveniles endorsement, too, means a lot because that is one of my absolute favorites here. Now I am going to go make a reservation before word gets out about this treasure and it gets impossible to do get one.😉
