Sounds like old school French “je m’en foutism”… something that made eating out in trendy places scary about 10 years ago. I am glad that trend has generally died. I won’t be going to Épopée… no one needs to spend their time or money someplace where they simply don’t care. Thank you for sparing me the anguish!
merci ..you just saved us . we're staying across the street from epopee in june and had just found it online.. was planning it for our lunch after we arrive. I think we'll go to another place and we know plenty in the area
it's always helpful even if there are just a few flaws, but maybe they will work it out as time goes on. it was just oddly convenient but we have so many regular places in the area that many we've alredy booked so just looking for something maybe new or different .
Yeah, I was literally thinking as I walked out, "we could have gone to Le Servan." There are so many great restaurants in that area - how lucky you're staying there!
we've stayed the last 3 years there...love the area..was thinking of le servan or mon bleu for lunch that day..already have reservations at Rives, Cafe Content and others around the 11th. our favorite place . we arrive in mid morning but never know what time we'll get into paris , so figured we'll just wing it for lunch and hope for the best.

You're very welcome!
95% of people do not have 150 minutes to spend over lunch, especially a poor one.. I feel for you.
I love a long lunch, when it's intentional. This was a slog :)
Oof. Calling hummus a sauce is like calling tapenade a sauce.
So true! If I had ordered the morcilla starter and then the vegetables with hummus it would have felt like a very nice apéro spread, not lunch.

Well I guess that's my intention. I hate writing negative reviews, but I hate the idea of you guys wasting your time even more :)
