There is magic in Montmartre. Perched high above the rest of Paris, this northernmost neighborhood is dominated by the Sacré-Cœur church and the cobblestone streets that wind away from it. Its remaining windmill and vineyard are vestiges from a time when this once-bucolic village was covered in both. It feels a little removed from the present day.
