“Where should I eat in Paris?”
It’s an important question. Here are fifty answers.
These are my favorite spots in Paris, and I’m thrilled to share them. But I only grant access to our paid subscribers. Why so stingy?
Fewer eyes on this list increases our chances of getting in. Call me selfish, but I’m saving the best stuff just for us.
The financial support from you, our paid subscribers, makes this pricey endeavor possible. My budget to anonymously test Paris restaurants is higher than any major publication. This enables me to stay honest - to politely decline the many freebies now offered. These selections are independent, crowd-funded by you.

To make our list more useful, I’ve overhauled a few things:
Restaurants are now organized by the date of my most recent visit, and that date is noted beneath each photo collection. I aim to retest every restaurant on this list every three years.
I’ve included a short description for each restaurant, but you can click to read the full review, or explore the tags I’ve provided below each address. Click on links like “open Sunday” or good for vegetarians” or “off the beaten track” to find more options that fit that bill.
Scroll to the bottom to find a cheat sheet that will help you to quickly find favored options by location, type of cuisine, opening days, and other useful details.
You can find past editions of this list our archives to see past editions of this list, and consult our restaurant index to see our rating of more than 300 Paris restaurants.
If you haven’t yet subscribed to Paris by Mouth, I hope you’ll consider doing so now.
